[ neat! well eiden is just waiting by the waterfall. his shoes are off to the side and his socks are them and he's just kind of kicking his feet in the water. wrapped up in his jacket is topper, snoozing like baby christ himself in a manger bc he has just so much meat, he's gotta sleep it off.

It's about the method of delivery...

[ he shifts a little uncomfortably. he's not uncomfortable with the company, nor is he uncomfortable with the truth, but he's nervous about fukuzawa's reaction—and he wouldn't judge him for it either. ]

I have several clan members, all who have varying levels of essence and all of them who regulate it at different intervals of need. Yakumo, Edmond, Olivine, Quincy, Kuya, Garu and Karu who share one body... Blade, and Dante. There's also the matter of Huey's familiars who were left behind when he vanished—they also require essence from time to time as well—Aster and Morvay.

It's a lot of people, right?

It's a few people, but I wouldn't call it a lot. Doing an important job like yours, I would expect you to have to work with many others.

There are a few ways to regulate essence, but the best way to do so, and the fastest, is through sex.

Lots of it. So I regulate all of their essence with my body. Fluids like blood or saliva, and especially semen, contain the most essence.

When I arrived in Klein, my body went through some significant changes. I guess to make it easier to regulate my clan members' essence on the fly. Don't need lube, my body just... makes it itself... and my stamina basically makes it so my refractory period is nearly non-existent.

[ he kind of just looks down at his lap. ]

And it's not like they come at me all at once. Usually I'm with maybe two or three at a time traveling or working with them... and they know how to take turns and share. So it's manageable. I just have to make sure I eat properly and keep practicing how to control my own essence to help them.

[ he lifts a hand and touches the obsidian buried in the middle of all those colorful gemstones on his outfit. ]

Each clan member has a gemstone, too. It's part of their body, physically...

[ a little somber: ] Someone actually left a box with this outside our warehouse on Monday... I don't know who, but I don't think it's actually Yakumo's. He'd be unable to hear... and probably dead otherwise.

[ he then just sighs and gives a shake of his head, expression shifting to something more resolute. in order of their names from before: ] Obsidian, sapphire, peridot, topaz, amethyst, moonstone, rock crystal, turquoise... it's a manifestation of their contract with the Grand Sorcerer. When their essence is unregulated or low, their gems go dull.

It sounds like a lot. Does that life make you happy?

... I used to wonder the same question.

[ kicking at the water a little more. ]

I think so. A lot happier than my old life. No parents, no family. I had work friends, but most of them liked me because I was willing to burn the midnight oil for a paycheck and take on their extra work, I think...

In Klein... even if I'm nothing like Huey, even if I'm useless, somehow they still all really care about me. They're all precious to me... some of the most important people in my life.

...I was hoping...if you had other people to be with, then you wouldn't be disappointed in me for not being everything you want. That I wouldn't leave you feeling dissatisfied and miserable, since there would always be someone else there for you.
