They haven't repeated so far, right?

I'm a little curious, too. But I don't think I'm curious enough to waste $5 just to embarrass myself for the sake of sating my curiosity...

[anyway!! oink oink. a pig noise suddenly comes out of nowhere, running past them, and—

Classes have ended for the day. You're getting your notes ready for today's club activities in the middle of the room your school has allowed you to reserve for the Literature Club, while your dear friends and your newest club member all shuffle off into separate corners to indulge in their favorite book, read manga, or simply just vibe.

Despite knowing now that none of this is real, something about the sight still makes you happy. A moment of comforting normalcy in a world that has otherwise lost all meaning.

But, suddenly, you

are put to sleep.

Or, at least, that's what it feels like. You can't move. You can't talk. You can't scream. You're left with nothing but your own panicked, terrified thoughts for several agonizing seconds — before your mind begins to fill with incoherent, jumbled patterns.

Rapid flashes of static and color dance across your vision. Closely. In the distance. Everywhere yet nowhere at all. Someone is screaming. A singular something. A plural someone. You cannot tell anymore. You cannot even say where you end and the void begins. You are completely and utterly incapable of forming your own thoughts at this point.

You are endlessly hammered by the flashing lights and the piercing screams. They dig into your skull and scoop out your soft innards. Perhaps this is all there is. All there ever was. All there ever will be.

The world has ended. There is nothing outside of this singular moment in time that seems to stretch on for eternity. You have no idea if it's been seconds, minutes, hours — or even years. All you know is that you are here and there is no escape and you are dying and you are dead and you will rot here forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever anï¯ĠŨŒŐĬÃ¥ÙİíıÉ®²óŁØùċĒĀºÆ»ÑĮäĄŧŲÛ½Äà¡öåĹŦĕ©ŹãĻ ¾ûĦàŤćěijĤŻċţùŦĪì ´ĴÈēÖŘőžŰŌŷėŝĨ¹ÝķÞâõņªäġŃèĽÙáųŠĆ

Then you find yourself back in your own body while the people around you fail to notice that, for however long that truly lasted, the world simply ceased to exist.]

[ah...

she's a little dazed when the memory ends, her face ashen — but she seems to snap out of it when he offers his hand.]

I... [she takes his hand, a little shaky.] I'm sorry. I was really hoping I didn't have to experience that again, and now I pulled you into it... ahaha...

I don't mind talking about it, it's... just hard to explain.

... It won't make me feel better or worse, to be honest.

[she's just tired now. but she tries to smile a little, because she does appreciate his attempt at being comforting.]

Like I said, it's hard to explain. But if I had to put it into words, though it's a little inaccurate... You could say god pressed the off button on the universe, just for a moment, and I'm the only one who noticed.
