Simon is terrified that he'll die this week. Everyone holds him at an arm's length and it's killing him inside. Even if I can't prove his innocence, I can at least protect him for a little bit longer.

[Fukuzawa's words are abruptly cut off though, and he sits there blinking.

[He seems a little frustrated as he gestures between himself and Eiden, like he's displeased about something. But he's not using his words.]

Did someone curse you just now or something? They've got shitty timing.

[He gives Eiden a weird look and shakes his head.]

[After a moment he pulls out his phone and texts Eiden:]

[ frowning as he reads his phone and just. hello??? ]

Since... when did you take a vow of silence...?

[A pause, and then:]

I don't know but it feels important and I have been breaking it.

Just... feels very sudden. You don't seem like the kind of guy who'd go around breaking something you think is important.

[ he just, looks kind of... mad. not at fukuzawa, but at the fact that people are out here slinging curses on each other left and right. he just pinches his brow and grumbles. ]

I'm gonna cold-clock whoever is doing this to you. First the fucking assassin confession, now this. I'm pretty damn sure it's a curse...

[ he lifts a hand to touch fukuzawa gently on the cheek and... stops. lowering it because right. he forgot. that's not really theirs anymore, is it? now that yakumo is gone. so he just. closes his eyes tiredly. ]
