[she comes in to grab some food as well, but pauses when she sees him. she's got a frown on her face after seeing that, too, but:]

My super cool new crime-solving invention that I'm working on.

[ he pulls his hand away and it's just one of the ikea show rooms, but he's been adding patterns and things on the furniture. ]

[tilting her head as she looks, though.]

Looks nice. So it's not just toys you're good at designing?

[silicone]

Yeah, we'll be drinking slushies while it solves all the mysteries.

[ glancing down. ]

Yeah... people, places, clothing sometimes. Ikea's nice because it feels like fundamentals again. [ he gestures with his hands. ] Lots of straight lines that're good for perspective practice.

Knowing that this happens every weekend...? I'm nervous, I guess. It's a lot crammed into 48 hours.

[ his brows knit tightly. ]

And the people who... if we're dead, double die, they don't get a chance to come back alive unless we find some way around it.

It doesn't have to happen every weekend, but it probably will, yeah.

[sighing.]

Well - if you believe the rulebook, only four of us are going to have that option anyways.

There are too many people to control that. I wish people had better self control.

[ he smiles weakly. ]

Everyone did great yesterday, though. Seriously... I'm... I don't feel better having figured it out.

I don't think self control is the only issue.

[biting her lip for a moment.]

I don't know. I mean, I... Obviously I'm not happy about how things went, but - I think it would be even worse if we didn't find who really killed him.

I mean... finding them does set precedent. I guess?

Yeah. We'll still have to try just as hard if it happens again, though.

And something tells me this isn't going to stop. Especially if it puts people's teams in the lead. They might consider it worth the risk.
