[ well all of that happened and now eiden is taking a walk in the outer park, kicking a rock along. topper is rolling around in the grass somewhere, but hops up on his back legs when he sees mizuki and squeaks, darting over to her feet to say hello! ]

Oh, hey 'Zuki.

[adorabrawler]

[ She's mostly just sitting out on the grass somewhere, lost in though—something Topper effectively yanks her out of when he comes squeaking. She blinks a few times, looks down at the stoat, then back up at Eiden. ]

Hey. Just passing through?

Yeah, had to clear my head a little. [ he plops down in the grass beside her though. ] What're you up to?

[adorabrawler]

Not much. Just hoping if I keep trying, maybe I'll finally be able to wake up from this nightmare.

Yeah... it's getting pretty scary, if I'm gonna be honest. It really does feel like a nightmare.

Except at least in this nightmare we all get to work together at least... it's not great. But it's better than having to go it alone.

I dunno. If we were alone, then we wouldn't have to watch someone die every week.

That's the chance we make with friends... and it hurts...

[ he looks upwards. ]

But I want to hope that maybe there's some way to push the game in our favor. If we keep putting one foot in front of the other. Stupid, but keeps me from going crazy, I think.

I know… I’m not going to falter or anything, but I’m tired of sitting around making a bunch of optimistic talk when we still don’t have a way to do anything.
