[ leaning over the railing to join her, with topper curling around his neck to peer in as well. ]

Hey, Mizuki... what's up?

[ something in the water? ]

—Oh, hey.

[ she looks up. ]

Not a lot... I wanted to see if there were any fish in the water.

You see any? [ he leans forward a bit more to squint at the water. ] The way the animals around here are so spread out, it's weird. I swear we didn't see a single animal in the city and now suddenly the park's full of squirrels...

[adorabrawler]

Yeah, and they're huge!

[silicone]

Yeah—I felt a little nervous letting Topper go off on his own, but he said he could take 'em.

[adorabrawler]

He can talk?

Well, more like I've been able to understand him better since we first met!

I think he understands humans pretty well, though. He's really smart.

[adorabrawler]

That is really smart... You two must be pretty close.

We definitely got close in my time in Klein... I'm pretty sure I'd get into way more trouble without Topper. Or his friend Quincy, that's the guy he lives with usually.

[adorabrawler]

You got a whole herd of these little guys?

[silicone]

Heh, I wish. Nah, Quincy lives in the woods, he's the one who found Topper in the first place... I just... hang around a lot.

[adorabrawler]

Oh, so Quincy is a person.

[silicone]

Yeah. But I bet he'd make a cute stoat... he's more of a bear, though.
