I don't see why not. If he lets you. Topper, how are you feeling?

[ topper briefly chirps at eiden and then trots over to the edge of the table. he's cleaning his little paws before giving her his biggest eyes because he is a baby. ]

He loves attention.

Hello, Topper. It's nice to meet you!

[She'll offer her hand out slowly, giving the creature a chance to see and smell her approaching, then tries to pet his head.]

[ he has a good disposition, and since eiden is here, he is calm and allows the petting. he feels very safe (for now) and chirps at her before scampering back up to eiden's shoulder. ]

He's still getting used to everything... he's used to the forest, but, uh, this place isn't quite it.

Do you and your friend live near the forest, too?

My friend does, but we visit each other often. This is Topper's first time in the city, so I'm showing him that it isn't so scary.

I see... I hope he can get used to it soon! I'd hate for him to be stressed out the whole time you're here.

I think... well, I'm not convinced that this is really an afterlife of any kind... but it's fascinating to see such a strange, huge city. It's unlike anything I've seen before!
