He's a little guy?

[ laughing a little bit as he raises a brow. ]

Because he's my friend. [ and there were no signs, but he doesn't say that. ] What's he doing anyways? He just wants to look around too.

[huntressinred]

You carry your pet rat around into gyms all the time?

Not all the time, but he's in a new place. We have to stick together.

What does he need to see the inside of a gym for? Is he gonna start lifting weights?

Who knows, maybe he wants to get swole too.

But for real. He's really well trained and he never makes a mess.

Man, you must be really upset if you're taking it out on a tiny animal. We're not happy about this place either, y'know.

I'm just exploring, trying to get a better lay of the land. Isn't my first time getting spirited away to some weird place.

I'm from, uh... Earth? Ended up on the Klein Continent for a little over a year... and uh... now I'm here...

Hmph. Twice for me too. Three, if you count the time the whole city got dumped in another dimension.

So you're just, okay with all this?

Whoa what? A whole city...? How'd that even happen?

[ he makes a face ]

And... I mean, I'm not okay with it, but I'm trying to at least get familiar with the place.

Some guy calling himself the "Ghost King" showed up, claimed the town for himself, and tore the whole chunk of it out of the ground into his dumb territory or whatever.

[ she waves a hand casually as she explains it. old news. ]

Why? Planning to stick around?

"Ghost King"? Man, that's obnoxious...

[ he wrinkles his nose. ]

... And I mean, no, not really, but we don't have much of a choice. Where are we going to go with that weird barrier?

Well, something's gotta be making it. So all we have to do is find the generator and break it. [ she punctuates by slamming a fist into her other hand ]

Or someone. And people who know magic are a little harder to smash.

I like the enthusiasm, though. Sounds like you get into a lot of crazy crap where you're from.

Not if you get the drop on them first.

And yeah, that kind of happens when your whole town's overrun by ghosts on the regular.

Things I really wish I'd known when I ran into a ghost a few months ago—Jeez.
