[Do you ever think about how funny it is that any outfit I can pick out for her will inevitably cover more skin than her actual outfit does in canon?]

[ yeah i think it's hilarious that trish dmc has more clothes than kyoko digimon !?!?!? ]

Not really, but I think it's got better coffee than Ikea or McDonalds... so I like to go here where I'm not in a hurry and sketch.

[ he then reaches into his pockets and pulls out a couple of packets of creamer, and two candies, little wrapped soft caramels. it's a bakery, so sugary treats abound. he nudges the creamer and one of the candies towards her with a little stirring stick before opening his coffee to-go cup lid. ]

First, the candy, because the coffee's really hot, it's going to melt nicely inside.

[ and he will show her - opening the candy, letting it plop into the cup! ]

[factoring]

[She opens up her own coffee, watching what he does. Gently placing the candy inside first and reviewing the rest of the ingredients in front of them.]

You must have a sweet tooth.

[ he laughs a little, somber. ]

Mmm, not as much as some people I know. This is just enough.

[ he stirs his coffee carefully for a few moments before lifting up the stirring stick, revealing the melting caramel in a little melty ribbon now. ]

[factoring]

[ Her expression softens. It has been a long week. ]

Caramel coffee?

[ She's heard of it, she just likes making disasters out of coffee more. ]

[silicone]

Yeah... I'm a simple guy. [ he smiles ] But sometimes, I think simple is what we all need, right?

[ he pours the creamer into his and stirs it again. ]

And I think we deserve that. Sometimes, a cup of coffee is what you really need. Like a warm hug inside of you, close to your heart.

[factoring]

[ Kyoko mirrors what he's doing with his coffee. ]

There's nothing wrong with the simple pleasures in life. A warm cup of coffee. Spending time with the people you care for. [ It is good to trust reality again, after the weekend they just had. ]

That's exactly it. That's what I wanna do.

[ he sips from his cup for a moment and as he pulls away, nodding. ]

Mmm... Yeah. You're exactly who I want to share this coffee with...

[factoring]

[ A sip of hers and she thinks about how strange it tastes. How utterly normal. She doesn't dislike it. ]

If I were feeling ambitious, I'd put salt in. Not too much, though.

[factoring]

How ambitious are you feeling today?

[ holding out a salt packet to her. ]

I'm not, but you can be.

[factoring]

[ Yeah, she absolutely dumps the salt in.

What else did you expect. ]

he just laughs, like a real laugh. ]

Yeah, exactly.

[ Honestly, it's good to hear that from him. ]

Salt and caramel are a popular combination in some places. Salt also cuts some of the bitterness of coffee too.
